Double Standard Room
This room, with its particularly original design, evokes the figure of the washerwoman, a key character in Roberto De Simone’s play. The headboard was made by assembling the wooden boards once used to wash clothes by hand, the bedside tables are made from two overturned tubs. At the head of the bed, the picturesque niche with the clothes hanging, in shades of cerulean blue, recalls the typical and popular atmosphere of the old town centre of Naples, as does the mirror-window above the desk. The room is equipped with every comfort and a beautiful balcony overlooking the historic center.
“Wherever I went in the world, I saw that a little Naples was needed.”
